The Name Game ~ July 2012

Hi! Welcome back to The Name Game!

Your challenge is to make a siggy using last month's challenge bonuses Summer in the City. Here's my siggy for July. I used pieces designed by Kristmess, Sarah Meyer, Couric Designs, and Nini's Notions. Thank you, Ladies!



If you didn't get a chance to participate in challenges last month, you can purchase this entire challenge kit in the store HERE.



Open a blank document 12" wide and 6" high. Start with strips or shapes from background papers, add a cluster here or there, and of course, make sure your name is nice and large. Add shadows and if you like, a few words about yourself.

When you're finished, group all of the layers together and clip out all of the excess space. Here's how I do it. I merge visible and then ctrl-a, ctrl-c, ctrl-n, enter, and ctrl-v.

Resize to 600 dpi wide (or less) and save as a .png or a .jpg. Upload to The Name Game gallery. Then add your new name creation to your signature. Use the tutorial HERE called "Adding blinkies in your Forum/Gallery signature."

Last of all, post in this thread so we can see your new siggy right away! It's as easy as that!

Just make a siggy using last month's challenge prizes, post it in The Name Game gallery and here, and you'll get my new Summer by the Shore alpha. We'll be using this alpha next month for this very same challenge.

This was quite a chore, erasing most of the alpha to leave only the letter exposed. My program doesn't work correctly, so, when I go to do anything, I never know where on the layout things will appear, or, as in this case, be erased. I have to "undo" well over half of what I do to make ANY layout. This new siggie was no exception. But, I've gotten so good at it, that it comes naturally now!
