Default Question of the Day 03 (July 30, 2012)

So, after an early morning run which posted to FB (the gps tracker I use does that automatically) a friend commented that she thought it was funny I was just finishing my morning work out as she was heading to bed... of course, the fact that I live in the UK and she is in the states plays into that but it made me wonder... are you an early bird or a night owl?

Me, I am actually both... I do like 7 - 8 hours of sleep, but I am best if I split it up, 5-6 at night and then a good long (like an hour) nap in the afternoon... the creative juices flow well in the morning, but the night time seems to be the best time for admin stuff for me! But, since I have four kids and naps are a bonus... I am more an early bird than a night owl these days!

Definitely an early bird. I cherish my quiet mornings before the boys get up and start with their all day chatter.

Night owl here. However my M-F work schedule forces this owl to wake when the worms are about. Friday and Saturday night though this owl stays up til at least 2 or 3 am.

Since I started running I have been waking up earlier even on non-run days. I used to stay up well into the wee hours of the night.

My focus wanes in the afternoon and I do enjoy an afternoon nap on occasion.

I am definitely more of a night owl. I really try to avoid mornings if it is at all possible. I cherish the time in the evenings after everyone else has gone to bed.
However, as soon as school starts in two weeks, I might have all the quiet time that I want during the day while both of the kids are at school.

I used to be a nightowl - not in bed before 3am. Now I am definitely an early bird. We get up around 5.45am every morning.
