Around the World Challenge May / June Edition

Welcome to "Around The World Challenge" hosted by Silvia Romeo.

Each month we will have a new challenge called "Around The World" hosted by me. Like the name suggests, we will be talking about the countries we live in, the cities we love, restaurants, places we visited, and everything "Around the World" or not, lol. Just whatever we feel like talking about. This is a great way to get to know each other and it will be fun!

IMPORTANT: Like almost all Digitals challenges, Around the World will be featured every other month. You will have two entire months to make a layout, so you won't have excuses. lol. Please don't forget me and my challenge. I enjoy so much seeing your layouts! See you again in July 2012!

Now to the May Challenge. I lost my Mom two years ago and I miss her every single day. I long to feel her arms around me so much, that it hurts! As this month we celebrate Mother's Day, I would like you to create a page honoring your Mom. If you still have her around, and you know how lucky you are, please tell me what this means to you. If like me you can't see her anymore, except in your heart, tell me what you miss most about her and what means to you, not having her anymore. Use a beautiful photo of your Mom and don't be frugal in your journaling. Elaborate on your thoughts! Enjoy!!!

Important Notice

Some of you are creating very beautiful layouts with great journaling, but very small. After you post your layout, try reading what you wrote. If you can't read, please copy your journaling to your description, so everyone can read what you wrote.

You will have two entire months to post your layout. But there are some rules to follow.

You can use whatever kit you like, to create your layouts, but in order to qualify to the posting bonus, you have to use at least 3 items from a Digitals Designer. It can be freebies or purchased.

You also cannot “double up” on challenges, meaning you cannot use the same layout for different Digitals challenges. Each layout needs to be exclusive to that challenge. Other than that, there are no requirements.

When you are done creating your layout, post it to this gallery:

Then copy the link and paste it in this thread, so we will all be able to see the layouts you've created. Bonus will only be sent to the people listed in this thread.

I had a wonderful, selfless, caring mother. Everyday I realize how remarkable she was - raising 7 children alone during the depression. This is my 32nd scrapbook page at Digitals in which she is portrayed.

Here's mine. It's so hard getting a good picture of my Mom, as she hates being in front of the camera. But this one from my sisters grad is one of my favs of her! (and I am due any day in it, but the school is beside the hospital, so I felt safe going) She has certainly raised some girls that are willing to be themselves, always know they're accepted for it, and follow their own paths, thanks Mom!

You may create your page whatever size you wish to. Please copy your journaling to your description so I can read it.
