January 2011 Designer Elements 2011 Challenge

I'm so excited to host the January 2011 edition of the Designer Elements challenge! As I'm sure you've heard many of the challenges are changing to a 2-month format, but the Designer Elements challenge is one of the challenges that will continue to be monthly. I made an extra special mini kit to share with you all that coordinates with my Rosy Outlook kit (http://digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=26_240&products_id=20914)!

The rules for the Designer Elements challenge are really simple!

1. Head over to my store (http://digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=190) and pick up the January 2011 Designer Elements Challenge Mini Kit.

2. Create a layout using at least 3 pieces of the Mini kit. If you'd like to use pieces other than those in the mini kit, you are welcome to use the coordinating Rosy Outlook kit (http://digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=26_240&products_id=20914). Please don't use any other kits.

3. Post your layout to the Designer Elements gallery (http://digitalscrapbookpages.com/galleria/showgallery.php/cat/597).

4. Come back to this thread and post a link to your layout.

5. Admire the layouts and enjoy your posting bonus! (I'll PM it the link to you!)

The mini was so pretty I just had to buy the full kit! Here is my picture of all of the U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Gold Medalists. They span the years 1948 (Richard Button) to 2010 (Evan Lysacek). Since the picture was taken one month before the 2010 Olympics, I Photoshopped Evan into the group.
Just to keep the record straight, the skaters are, from left:
Evan Lysacek (2010); Tara Lipinski (1998); Kristi Yamaguchi (1992); Scott Hamilton (1984); Hayes Jenkins (1956); Tenley Albright (1956); Richard Button (1948 and 1952); Carol Heiss (1960); David Jenkins (1960); Peggy Fleming (1968); Dorothy Hamill (1976); Brian Boitano (1988); Sarah Hughes (2002).

Carol Heiss is the reason I started following figure skating - way back in 1957.

BTW, this program would not allow me to enter Mr. Button's more familiar first name - it changed it to ****
