Organizing Digitals Designers' works

Hi,

The kits I buy, I leave as kits by themselves in my Digitals folder. But how do you organize the Digest Freebies and the Freebies from the Digitals Designers' Blogs? Under each designer's name in a Digitals folder for the digest freebies or have a completely separate folder for each designer?

I have a separate folder for each designer in my digitals folder. I am looking for a better way to organize my stuff though as it is getting hard to find things sometimes (though I have more trouble finding photos since DH has them organized by date they were taken).

Before using ACDSee to organize, I used to file mine by designer name. Most freebies on designer blogs and in the newsletter coordinate with kits in the store. If you have the full kit, you can just upload to that folder. If you are only collecting freebies, then I would file them by what they are--quick pages, mini kits, etc. I like to keep my quick pages together, so i can throw together layouts when i'm in a hurry. i plan to do a lot of that this year!

Don't know if it will help but I do mine first by store or blog then have subfolders for the designers. I add a PD at the end of of the product name by ones I purchase so that I know which ones were freebies and which ones I paid for. Makes it a little easier so I know where i got what when time comes to do credits. Hope that helps some.
