CD Gift Claendar...

I'm making a CD gift calendar for my Mom and sisters this year, but I can't figure out how to make the CD case stand up right. Can someone please help me? I don't want to waste my time working on the calendar pages if I'll have nothing to hold them.

Hi Krista,

I'm sorry I saw this after Christmas, but if you still need help I need to understand more about what you are trying to do. Are you trying to put the correct month in the front of the closed CD case, then have it stand upright for that month to display? If that's the case, you could probably fashion something like the piece on the back of a picture frame, glued to the CD case, possibly with one of those adhesive picture hangers and sturdy cardstock. Or you can buy a plate/photo stand that will hold it just right. They carry stands at Walmart, I just saw them the other day.

couldn't get back into message to "edit"...

anyway, you open the CD, then carefully extend the opening so the inside of the front cover is now on the outside -- the CD case will normally stop at a certain point, this is the point where you need to carefully extend it past that stop-point -- some cases will do so very easily, others you may need to separate one side -- the 2nd stop point will be where you can sit in down and it will be a standup frame.

the inside of the front cover is now the displayed side.
the inside of the back (portion that normally holds a CD) will now be facing down & is the part the frame "sits" on.

the very first link shows pics.

These are great to post to the relo's cheap as chips to mail the initial cd case, and then you only need to send next years calendar images each year.
