May/June 2012 Lyrics Challenge with Vicky Day

Welcome to the challenge for May and June!

Since we are getting close to the time for school to end and VACATIONs to begin, I remembered a song that I used to hear a LONG time ago sung by Connie Francis. I know some of you younger scrappers will not remember this song, but you should still be able to scrap some fun pages with the lyrics.

Please include at least a phrase (or more) from the song on your page. Also, to qualify for the participation prize half of the elements/papers you use in your layout should be free or purchased, from Digitals' designers (this will be changed next month to "at least 3 items used must be Digitals product)..... "past or present is fine as long as it was purchased or downloaded thorugh us" per Stacey.

I'm sure you could just change the vacation word part to holiday and use some other parts of the rest of the lyrics with it.

You don't have to use the word "VACATION."
Like Maureen said, change it to Holiday and use some of the other lyrics to go along with it. There are plenty of portions of the lyrics that you could use! Just use a single phrase. That would be perfect! Use some of the phrases as a title and do your own journaling! That would be perfect, too! You are very creative! I know you will be able to come up with something! :love

I was wondering if you could clear this up for me. Each challenge I have looked at says something different and it's confusing and I will have to write down who wants what on their layouts to qualify. You say that 1/2 the products we use on a layout must be Digitals to qualify for the bonus. In 2 or 3 challenges we only have to use 3 things from digitals, elements or papers to qualify for the ch. bonus and still in another ch or two we can use whomever we want to and still qualify. It would be helpful if every challenge required the same thing to qualify. I was wondering if there was a store requirement for qualifying or does each challenge host decide what she will require for qualifying for their ch.? Thank you.

To be honest with you, I do not know the answer to that question. This is not actually my challenge. I am just filling in for Cindy Ritter who has health issues right now and cannot cover the challenge. The "rules" were already set up and I just copy and paste them every month.

My challenge (Going Postal) is not for making layouts, only for commenting on them and in the forum threads, so my requirements are entirely different, too.

So, I would say that you would just need to follow the rules in each challenge, but I'll ask the designers/owner in our private forum and post another note back here when I get the answer.

For now, with this challenge, If you use, say, 4 items in your layout, 2 of those items would need to be from the designers from Digitals. That's the way I understand the rules Cindy has and that is the way I have been confirming for the challenge qualifications and earning the prize.

Hope that helps somewhat, at least until I can get an answer from the others for you.........hopefully sooner than later.

Here's what the owner says as far as the requirements are concerned in answer to the above question: "The confusion is probably because we have changed it over time and some got updated and others have not. Lets say 3 pieces, to be consistent, must be from Digitals."

So, beginning with the next Lyrics challenge, I will change the requirements. For this go around, since some pages have already been done, I will leave the requirements as is.
