Going Postal Dec. 2011

Welcome! I am thrilled to be hosting the newest challenge here at Digitals, "Going Postal!" Normally, that phrase has a negative connotation, but we are going to change that with this challenge. This challenge is all about leaving love in the gallery and forum each month to help build community! Digitals has always been like family to me and it is all because of the friendly people who hang out here. Everyone likes for their posts in the gallery and forum threads to receive comments and generally, the more you give the more you receive in return! This will be a very easy challenge for you to participate in. All you have to do is post away and leave the rest to me! Here's how it will work:

1. Post your intent to participate in the challenge in this thread. Include the number of posts you are beginning the month with. (You can find that number on the right hand side of your last post, or click on your user name beside the “WELCOME, username” that shows at the top right of this thread. Then look to the right near the top for your “TOTAL POSTS.”)
2. Post at least 50 comments/photos total in the gallery and forums through the month.
3. On December 31st (or sooner), edit your "participation" post from step 1 to include your final number of posts for the month.
4. I will confirm and send out the bonus shown below to those whose totals are at least 50 posts for the month.

That's it! We had 23 participants last month and 20 completed the goal! That is an excellent average! Let's shoot for 100% this month! YOU CAN DO IT.....I KNOW YOU CAN! :bigsmile: Here's an easy way to get your 50 posts/comments. Go to the Digitals gallery from the menu at the top of this page and comment on the entire page of photos (or pick 4 each day to spread your comments over 2 weeks) and you've got 16 done in no time at all! Do that and in a couple of days you've got your 50 posts! Don't forget that comments in the forum threads and uploading photos also count towards your goal! Easy, Peasy! ;-)

I'm not sure how my starting number for December was so off. (I had posted it as 3413 and I don't have a clue where I got that number way back then. LOL) It should have been around 6447, as that is what I finished November at, when I just went back and just looked. I know you already credited me for doing 50. Just wanted to set the record straight as it looked like I did much more than I really did this month. My ending number tonight is 6555, so I did 108 in the month of December. I just think it is wonderful how you are encouraging us to leave comments. Thank you for your work on this and Happy New Year.

Well, I made it! I've ended up with 1410 which should put me over the top. This month has been so busy. I'm glad it's almost over! I love this challenge because it encourages me to leave comments.
