Going Postal Nov. 2011

Welcome! I am thrilled to be hosting the newest challenge here at Digitals, "Going Postal!" Normally, that phrase has a negative connotation, but we are going to change that with this challenge. This challenge is all about leaving love in the gallery and forum each month to help build community! Digitals has always been like family to me and it is all because of the friendly people who hang out here. Everyone likes for their posts in the gallery and forum threads to receive comments and generally, the more you give the more you receive in return! This will be a very easy challenge for you to participate in. All you have to do is post away and leave the rest to me! Here's how it will work:

1. Post your intent to participate in the challenge in this thread. Include the number of posts you are beginning the month with. (You can find that number on the right hand side of your last post, or click on your user name beside the “WELCOME, username” that shows at the top right of this thread. Then look to the right near the top for your “TOTAL POSTS.”)
2. Post at least 50 comments/photos total in the gallery and forums through the month.
3. On November 30th, edit your "participation" post from step 1 to include your final number of posts for the month.
4. I will confirm and send out the bonus shown below to those whose totals are at least 50 posts for the month.

For those of you concerned about the change in your post count, I should be able to tell if you have made 50 posts throughout the month by clicking on your username and then the selection to "find all posts made." So, don't stop posting! And due to this problem, I will be somewhat lenient this month as long as you are still putting forth the effort!

Sorry for the problem. The forums had to be cleaned out a bit in anticipation of the posts that will be made during DSD.

my numbers were affected by the cleanup but I am almost back to where I started with lots of month left, so I am still aiming for at least 50 more than my original posted number. It just means I have to leave a few more comments in the gallery. I understand the difficulty for those whose numbers changed even more than mine and newer members probably changed even less.

No, you didn't mess up.....right before DSD, Stacey cleaned up the site which changed most people's posting count (except for those who are pretty new). I checked on your stats just yesterday and counted 37 posts/comments/etc for you for the month so far! You've only got 13.....well, 12 now, to go! Don't give up! Getter' done tonight! :D You can do it!!!!!

Hi Marcia,
As of yesterday when I checked you had 21 posts/comments/etc. You are correct that the profile does not give the comments or the gallery posts like I thought it did. Our posting totals being changed this month just confused the issue a bit. I am hoping the total posts shown on the profile includes the gallery posts/comments, but I won't know for sure until I do a test on myself come December 1st. It sure would make it easier on me if it did, lol! Right now I am going to the gallery and doing a search for comments and doing a search on all fields that contain your user name. Plus I am doing a forum advanced search for posts for "22 days" as an example of what I used yesterday and it included some from October 31st, which I did not count. Anyway, it has been FUN! :P

I don't know if that answered your question or not. I have everyone's totals as of yesterday, so I will be keeping an eye on those not in the finished list yet!

I have searched all the pages and I can't find my post here but I made a sticky note to make sure I posted 50 comments this month so I don'[t know what happened. Anyway, I have only made 3 posts and only thought a few were missing that I could tell because I was up to 50. What happened to the posts anyway? Since I'm newer I obviously was affected less and haven't been able to be on to post very much from computer issues. Well anyway, I am going to attempt to finish the 50 posts starting from 45 where I was at the beginning of the month. Hopefully I will be able to spread enough love to make it to 50, but no matter what I'll be spreading love ;)

Well, I only found 4 posts in the forum, including the one above and only 1 comment in the gallery, no photos posted. So, I would say that is correct since your post above made 49 and you started with 45 at the beginning of the month. You should have no problem doing 50 posts in the next 4 days.....as long as your computer cooperates! :D
